A useful review process invites honest feedback from real customers. It should make participation easy without buying praise or choosing only customers expected to leave a positive rating.
Use the review response builder to prepare an editable reply. Choose the situation, add only a confirmed next step, then give the draft a human check before publishing.
Choose a fair request point
Decide when a customer has enough experience to comment: after a completed service, fulfilled order or visit. Use a consistent trigger and respect applicable communication preferences. Do not send only happy customers to Google while routing unhappy customers into a private form. Private support can be offered to everyone without being a condition for public feedback.
Make the request clear
Use the correct location's review link and a brief neutral invitation. For example: “Thank you for visiting. If you would like to share your experience, you can leave an honest review here.” Do not write the customer's review, require particular words or offer discounts, prizes or refunds in exchange for posting or changing one.
Watch the process, not a quota
Track requests sent where lawful and appropriate, delivery problems, completed reviews and support themes. The number of reviews a business receives depends partly on transaction volume. A quiet specialist and a busy café should not share an arbitrary weekly target.
An illustrative home-service company finds that review requests link to its previous trading name. Repairing the link removes friction. A sudden burst of purchased reviews would create a policy problem instead of fixing the process.
Respond and learn
Use review response templates as starting points. Personalise without disclosing private customer information. Repeated complaints about booking or arrival times should feed back into operations. If a review appears to violate platform policy, follow the removal process; disagreement alone is not grounds for removal.
Google says more reviews and positive ratings can help local ranking. That does not establish a universal review velocity requirement or a guarantee that replies will move a business above competitors.
